A Few Vacation Snippets

We recently went to Grand Cayman, sans children, for a week of R & R and so Jason could get certified to scuba dive. My parents were there for 2 weeks, and the sib and cousins showed up a few days before we had to leave. Here is Dan, mucking up what could have been a cute picture of the Sisters.
Maybe one of a half-dozen pictures of just the 2 of us in the past 7 years.
I'm not sure if it was the long day of travel or the rum that made a power nap a "must have".
Happy Hour
First night there- best Sea Bass I have ever had.

Coordination By Daddy

Sambo's school did a really cute program on Friday- A Sock Hop. Daddy was out of town so I whipped out the mini video on the camera to try to capture some of it for him. The first graders did the Hokey Pokey. Sam had the wrong arm/leg for the entire first half of the song but then had it figured out by the time they got to the "whole self" and the "backside" (thank goodness, since the opposite of sticking your backside in would likely have landed him in the principle's office). He is also a beat or two ahead of the crowd... he gets that from his mom... not being off-rhythm, but being a step ahead. Probably the backside wiggle is from me also since Dad doesn't have much backside. Ha ha.

Fortunately for our boy, Dad's "Excels at Any Sport that has a Ball" gene was only diluted by 50%, and so far it seems to be just enough to participate actively in organized sports. The goal isn't scholarship... just participating well enough to not cry in the car on the way home.

Mission accomplished; that's a base hit for the South Paw.
