28 weeks; Camping

We made it out in our camper last weekend despite the rain. We went as far as our State Park- about 3 miles. Nice. It is a good way to assess what you have forgotten to pack, plus we went home on Saturday for a BBQ with our small group and made it to church on Sunday. Here is Ava in her adapted cuddle with Momma- she just spoons herself right around baby and makes herself at home.
28 weeks shot, food in hand, made it to mouth. My friend said that another gal we know only gained 20 pounds with her pregnancy whereas she gained 50 and really had a much more enjoyable pregnancy- and was still able to lose it all. I think that is my new goal.
Roasting marshmallows... Sam was loving putting sticks in the fire until an ember landed on his bare foot. Hopefully that will cure the fire-bug in him permanently.

The House Begins

We have started building! This is the official "before" shot- just the stakes in the ground. When walking the stakes, I thought- this isn't too bad. Not as big as I thought (thinking of future mopping area).
The hole... looking bigger
The start of the concrete work... holy cow... huge. Mopping could take a full day. Maybe I could get one of those wet/dry vacuum things.
This part that juts out is Sam's future bedroom in the basement- and then upstairs it will be the kitchen- in the original floor plans it was a covered sunroom that is out with the deck- we converted it to our dining room, which will still be out even with the deck of the house.
Next... forms.

Happy Birthday to Me...

Like my mom says, "Only you (I) know what I need best". If you have given me cash for my birthday or Christmas in the past 2 years, I have been hoarding it - waiting for that "big" purchase- something that I want that Jason says "ehh- do you really need that?" at which point I can say "Yes!" and just buy it for myself. Here she is...

An Elliptical machine to replace the canceled gym membership- runs in silence so I can do it during nap time or while kids are still asleep in the morning. Jason put it together with a Happy Heart but did make the comment that it would take 7 huge men to get it moved out of this house and into the next. He is "allowed" to use it, but he can't get all sweaty all over it. She doesn't like to be drippy. I told him he'll have to wear 6 sweatbands when he uses it :)
